The RMA-affiliated Music and Mental Health Group is a winner of this year’s West Midlands Mental Health Star Awards.

The Group was particularly praised for ‘Engaging with a sector uniquely affected by lockdown periods and less supported than many other sectors. Its determination to make the most of the therapeutic value of music was key to its winning this award.’

The Music and Mental Health Group was founded to raise awareness of the mental health crisis among musicians. It offers a platform for the promotion and fostering of research and collaboration concerning the interaction of music and mental health. We provide a safe space for the exchange of experiences and stories, and an evolving database of Mental Health resources.
