RMA Music Education Initiative: Collated, Anonymised Data from Secondary School Music Questionnaire (summer 2019)
Across summer 2019, the RMA undertook research to establish from amongst its music-teaching membership the areas where greatest educational need and best RMA fit were perceived, and what the realistic priorities for activities should be. The questionnaire was distributed to RMA members who responded to an information request published in the RMA Bulletin, 15/3 (March 2019).
The results of this research were analysed, anonymised and tabulated. A particular priority emerged in enhancing the musicological provision for sixth-form students and staff. This work informs the ongoing priorities of our Music Education initiative.
